This addition project consists of a new, two-story, 16-classroom building constructed above a single level, 36-car parking garage.

The building forms an edge to the playground and provides a neighborhood buffer.

Floor elevations match the existing structure, providing an opportunity for future connections.

The form is enrichened with special stairs, window openings and overhangs. The stucco is painted brightly with playful yellow and green accents. Horizontal sun shade louvers and vertical metal mesh fins provide sun shade on the west and south exposures. The sun shades, handrails and railing mesh screens are galvanized steel.

The design meets the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) standards, the green building rating program for K-12 schools.
